FOUNDATION

The Chippewa Valley Symphony Foundation is the philanthropic & investment arm of the Chippewa Valley Symphony Orchestra. Each year the Foundation provides a portion of its annual earnings to the Symphony to help defray the cost of its operations.

Our foundation was created in 1994 with an initial endowment of $20,000. When we began this campaign, Foundation assets were $375,000. Today, Foundation assets exceed $600,000 thanks to wise investments and generous donations from people like you. Our Foundation annually contributes from its earnings approximately 4% of its corpus to the Symphony for its operations. Funds contributed are used by the Symphony for the following:

  • Concerts
  • Printing Costs (Brochures and Programs)
  • Guest Artists
  • Musician Stipends
  • Area Schools Outreach Program
  • Administrative Costs

Reaching our campaign goal will enable the Foundation to increase its annual gift to approximately $40,000. This will allow the Symphony to continue to expand its efforts to bring Music You Love By People You Know to a whole new generation of supporters.

PLANNED GIVING

Plan your giving in the form of a bequest. A bequest is a simple and convenient way to leave a lasting and significant impression. Bequests may be made for a specific gift of cash, stocks or securities. It can also designate a percentage of your estate after expenses are paid and beneficiary payments are made. The bequest may be designated for either general purposes to be used at the CVSO’s discretion or restricted for endowment purposes.

We would be pleased to assist you and your attorney in drafting specific language to best reflect your wishes and encourage you to let us know your final will provision in order to make certain that your wishes are properly carried out and recognized.

For more information on bequests, please contact us at info@cvsymphony.org or call us at (715) 832-6366.
